Book Review: Our Inner Ape
Our Inner Ape by Frans de Waal is another book that has contributed to my understanding of human behavior. In summary, this book compared behaviors of humans with two close primate cousins: the bonobo and the chimpanzee. The author explores various concepts of self awareness, power hierarchies, politics, and conflict resolution in terms of these primates. This book is a great read for primate enthusiasts but I personally did not gain as much as I would have liked from it. In terms of biological information, this book receives a 4/10.

Conclusion
These 5 books are some the most informative texts I have read since my last book review. Through them, I learned a lot about the modern plight of mankind and how we are equipped to handle the struggles of the future. These books have allowed me to look at my choices objectively and improve my decision making based on scientific knowledge. Some notable books that I read but did not pertain exclusively to biology include Astrophysics for People in a Hurry by Neil deGrasse Tyson (link), and Solitude by Michael Harris (link) As usual, I will link my next book review when the time comes.
