Conclusion
After the Agricultural Revolution was underway, human civilization was unavoidable. More technological innovations resulted in less energy expenditure. This triggered larger families and more technology dependent societies. Larger societies led to less familiar neighbors. In order to keep the peace, central governments were erected to monitor the growing population. From there, step by step, modernization allowed people to diversify their skills and create the complex world we live in.
Ten thousand years ago, every human alive knew thousands of local plant species and had an athletic physique due to the struggles of daily life. Now, most people can’t tell apart vegetables at the grocery store and the average body shape has become more…globular. While abundant energy allows for us to specialize our skills, it has come with a great cost.
